Uncle Jesse, The Vision To See The Courage To Do

Born September  6, 1845, at the western edge of settlements in the United States, Jesse Knight joined his family and thousands of pioneers in a massive migration to settle lands in an expanding America.

As a youth, Jesse experienced all the trials, hardships and adventures of the frontier. Although is parents were extremely faithful in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Jesse had no use for the religion of his Ancestors and was often antagonistic toward it.

After his marriage to Amanda McEwan and the birth of five of their children, a severe tragedy devastated their family. Tender mercies of God and miracles occurred and Jesse's heart was softened. He turned to God and the faith of his forefathers. From that time on, Jesse became a man of faith, a man of God, and a man of means.
